Big D Ranch has been providing farmers in the Treasure Valley with fresh feed since 1946.
In 1946, Clarence Henry Durrant relocated his family from Provo, Utah, to Meridian, Idaho, bringing along the “Big D” brand. By 1953, he built the first chicken coop, and in 1954, he committed to large-scale egg production, starting with eight hundred chicks. By the time of his passing in 1957, he had expanded his operation to accommodate fifteen hundred laying hens and was successfully marketing “Big D” brand eggs throughout the Boise Valley.
Today, we proudly continue Clarence’s legacy, maintaining the same dedication to quality and community that he envisioned. Our mission is to provide top-notch products while honoring our rich history in the Boise Valley. Thank you for being a part of our journey.
